WHat is it

I'm Ritchey. I've hosted a weekly radio show called Coffee n Bass every Friday at 7 AM since 2015 — 477 episodes, 2.2 million downloads. For the last eleven years I've been figuring out what music does to a morning, one week at a time. Now I'm bringing it into rooms.

A set runs one to two hours. It's warm, melodic, instrumental — no vocals for people to talk over, no drops, no build-and-release. The energy stays level and forward. It's the difference between a room with a playlist on and a room where someone is paying attention to what it needs.

What that does in practice: people stay longer, the room sounds intentional, and nobody has to raise their voice.

It's the warm, melodic end of drum & bass, not the loud end. Most people don't clock the genre. They just notice the room feels good.

I live in Greenwood and I've been here a long time. This isn't a touring act passing through if a Saturday works, it can keep working.

What it takes to host

You provide

  • Table or counter, about 3’ x 6’

  • One standard outlet

I bring

  • 2 XDJs + mixer

  • Powered Speakers (Kali LP-8s)

  • Extension cord + power strip

  • Everything else

Setup and teardown run under thirty minutes. No stage, no crew, no soundcheck that blocks your floor. I show up, set up in a corner, play, and pack out.

Volume is yours to set. If the room needs it quieter, say so mid-set. That's a normal thing to ask and I won't take it personally.
